The turn signal bulb in the exterior mirror is installed in the exterior mirror housings.

In addition, there is one entry lamp each in exterior mirror housing which illuminates the dark entry area around opened driver and front passenger door.

Driver Exterior Rearview Mirror Turn Signal Bulb -L131- or Front Passenger Exterior Rearview Mirror Turn Signal Bulb -L132-
Driver Entry Lamp in Exterior Rearview Mirror -W52- or Front Passenger Entry Lamp in Exterior Rearview Mirror -W53-

Malfunction Recognition and Malfunction Indicator:

Vehicle electrical system control is equipped with OBD which assists in Fault Finding.

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in "Guided Fault Finding".

Exterior Rearview Mirror Turn Signal Bulb

Exterior Rearview Mirror Turn Signal Bulb, Removing and Installing

The Driver Exterior Rearview Mirror Turn Signal Bulb -L131- and the Front Passenger Exterior Rearview Mirror Turn Signal Bulb -L132- are installed permanently in the housing lower section and cannot be disassembled. It is not possible to replace the LED lamps.

Note

If they are damaged, then the Driver Exterior Rearview Mirror Turn Signal Bulb -L131- or Front Passenger Exterior Rearview Mirror Turn Signal Bulb -L132- must be replaced together with the exterior mirror housing lower section.

Removing

Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.
Remove the housing lower section of the exterior rearview mirror.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

After installation, perform a function check of the exterior rearview mirror.

Exterior Rearview Mirror Entry Lamp

Exterior Rearview Mirror Entry Lamp Bulb, Replacing

Driver Entry Lamp in Exterior Rearview Mirror -W52- and the Front Passenger Entry Lamp in Exterior Rearview Mirror -W53- are permanently installed in the left or right exterior rearview mirror housings and cannot be disassembled. The following described replacing the entry lamp bulb.

Note

If the diffusion lens is damaged, the exterior rearview mirror entry lamp must be replaced together with the exterior rearview mirror housing lower section.
Replacing the bulb on the driver side or on the passenger side is identical and will be described for one side only.

Removing

Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.
Remove the housing lower section of the exterior rearview mirror.
Turn the bulb socket -1- in the direction of -arrow- together with the bulb from the bulb housing.

Pull the glass base bulb -1- in the direction of -arrow- out of the bulb socket -2-.

Glass base bulb: 12V, 5W

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
