Volkswagen Tiguan Service and Repair Manual: Rear Lid Trim Panel

Upper Rear Lid Window Trim Panel, Removing and Installing

Removing

  • Remove the center trim panel -1- from the mounts in the rear lid.
  • Remove the side trim panel from the mounts -2- and -3-.

Installing

Note

Before the assembly, check the clips for damage and replace if necessary.

  • Mount the side trim panel -1- into the mounts -2- and -3-.

  • Position the trim panel -1- over the guides -2- and clamps -3- in the openings in the rear lid.
  • Press the trim panel -1- in the area of the guides and clips in to the corresponding openings in the rear lid.

Rear Lid Window Side Trim, Removing and Installing

Note

The following describes the removing and installing on the left side of the vehicle. Removing and installing on the right side of the vehicle is identical.

Removing

  • Remove the upper rear lid window trim.
  • Remove the trim panel -1- at the upper end in the area of the clamps -2- and guide -3-, out of the mounts in the rear lid.
  • Remove the trim from the retainers in the rear lid trim panel -4-, -arrow A- and -arrow B-.

Installing

Note

Before the assembly, check the clips for damage and replace if necessary.

  • Install in reverse order of removal.

Rear Lid Trim Panel, Removing and Installing

Removing

  • Remove the upper rear lid window trim.
  • Remove the rear lid window side trim panel.

  • Remove the cap in both handle recesses -1-.
  • Remove the screw -1- (1.5 Nm) in both handle recesses.

Volswagen Tiguan. N70-10350

  • Reach into one of the handle recesses and pull the trim -1- out of the retainers in the rear lid.

Installing

Note

Before the assembly, check the clips for damage and replace if necessary.

  • Install in reverse order of removal.
