Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch -E267-

Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch -E267-, Removing and Installing

The Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch -E267- is installed inside the B-pillar trim panel on the driver side.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

  • Trim Removal Wedge -3409-

Note

When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool (Trim Removal Wedge -3409-, screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

Note

The anti-theft alarm system must be deactivated to remove the Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch -E267-.

Removing

  • Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.
  • Carefully pry out the Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch -E267--1- using the Trim Removal Wedge -3409- or a screwdriver.

  • Disconnect the connector -arrow- and remove the switch.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Engine Compartment Lamps and Switches

Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266-

Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266-, Removing and Installing

The Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- is installed in the hood latch.

Removing

  • Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.
  • Remove the front bumper cover.
  • Remove the intake air guide.
  • Remove the connector -1- from the retainer and disconnect it.
  • Remove the hood latch.

Note

The release cable may remain connected to the latch.

  • Cut the cable tie -2-, if necessary.
  • Release the tab -1- and slide the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- in the oblong holes until it is possible to remove it from the latch.

  • Loosen the wiring harness for the contact switch -1- and remove it from the lock carrier toward the inside.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
